Katherine McKenzie defended her MSc thesis in Public Health Sciences at Queen’s University. Working with MAPS researchers, Katherine developed a measure of frailty in IDD and demonstrated its relationship to admission to long-term care in Ontario.

A study on social enterprise as a means of generating employment options has published guidelines for agencies operating social businesses in the intellectual and developmental disability sector. The guidelines, based on the Values-Based Checklist created by Social Firms UK, incorporates best practices for enhancing independence, choice and inclusion for social business workers.
